Lakewood High School - 2025-2026 Programming

  • It is important for students to make informed decisions about the classes they choose.  You are committing to these courses for the entire 2025-2026 school year.  Please put careful thought into your decisions. The next few weeks will be a time for students to learn more about the classes LHS offers. Click here for the LHS 2025-2026 Course Offering List. Please click here for the LBUSD High School Course Catalog. You will find descriptions of LBUSD courses, recommendations, and prerequisites. Speak with your teachers and current students to learn about their courses and experiences.
  • Pathway Counselor Classroom Presentations - From February 24th - March 5th, School Counselors reviewed graduation, A-G, and NCAA requirements and explain the course selection process in pathway classrooms. Click here for the presentation.
  • There will be only two opportunities for course request CORRECTIONS: one on registration day and one day by grade level during the first 5 days of school.  We will not be accepting schedule change requests by email, phone, or Google Form.

We will only address the following:

  • Appropriate requests include
    • Incorrect level for required class (e.g. Geometry instead of Algebra 1)
    • Completion of Dual Enrollment course over the summer/enrollment in Dual Enrollment Course
    • Hole in the schedule (e.g. missing a 3rd period)
    • Missing a graduation requirement (e.g. no English or PE)
    • Missing 8 periods in your schedule

We will NOT address the following:

  • Inappropriate requests include
    • Students requesting to drop AP or accelerated courses for college prep course offerings
    • Students requesting to change their unscheduled period
    • Students changing their minds, requesting to change or drop a subject or elective course
    • Students requesting to take classes a specific class period
    • Students requesting a teacher change

We look forward to working with you and are planning for a prosperous 2025-2026 school year!
