Community Service Opportunities

Community Service is unpaid work performed which benefits the community, enhances social welfare, or improves the environment. The primary goal is to provide services that address needs for non-profit organizations, such as supporting food banks, schools, churches, hospitals, animal shelters, or environmental projects.  Participants gain valuable experience, develop new skills, and strengthen social bonds within their community.

TLC

The award-winning "Teens in Lakewood Care" (TLC) program needs teens to help provide free home maintenance to Lakewood residents who are physically unable to do the work themselves.

TLC volunteers work with the Lakewood Jaycees on selected Saturday mornings to wash windows, clean up yards, paint and other home-related chores.

If you'd like to help with this worthwhile program or with any other volunteer activity, please call 562-429-7472.
