IS YOUR STUDENT AN ACCELERATED LEARNER?

The Knights Specialized Secondary Program allows highly motivated students, who have a 3.0 or above GPA and enrollment in Algebra in Middle School, admission into the most advanced sections of our Pathways.

To be in the Knights program, students should choose one of the following during the School of Choice process:

  • ATM Knights
  • DMAC Knights
  • HOSM Knights
  • ODYSSEY Knights
Lakewood Knights Medal of Distinction

Knights’ students are placed into ATM, DMAC, HOSM, and Odyssey Academy’s accelerated, Honors and Advanced Placement classes. Knights are given the pathway knowledge to become an industry professional and are prepared for the rigor of a four-year university upon completion! Today’s Lancer Knights are tomorrow’s Industry Leaders.

Admitted students will take their first step toward the coveted Knights Medal of Distinction to wear at graduation. While at Lakewood High, recipients of this honor:

  • will be placed in Accelerated classes in their freshmen year.
  • will be encouraged to begin their AP Experience in their sophomore year.
  • will have taken a minimum of three AP classes and earned a C or higher.
  • will have taken a minimum of three CTE Pathway classes.
